Thank you for your interest in one of the Hottest Shows in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Our goal is to ensure that your experience with us is rewarding and memorable. Please take a few minutes to read over the rules and regulations to better prepare yourself for the planning stages of your presentation. Every category carries its own rules and points. Please do not omit any of the rules. We look forward to working with you over the next few months.

Categories
STUDENT FREESTYLE BATTLE
- Each student has 45 minutes to complete the look. Designs, colors, and enhancements are allowed.
FADES & BRAIDS
- Tag Team, Male Barbers Welcome. Each competitor has 60 minutes to complete this look. Tribal/Stitch Braids and a well-blended fade to complement the braid pattern.
FREESTYLE DESIGN
- Comicon Theme! Each competitor has 60 mins to complete the look. Color and enhancements allowed.
CLASSIC MAN
- Taper & Beard! Each competitor has 40 minutes to complete the look.
- Do one and one classes with models.
- Be one of the judges for the Casting call.
- Do group class for the show.
- Promote and sell conference registrations, tickets, sponsorships, and vendor packages.
Competition Rules:
- All participants must promote the show on all their social media platforms.
- Must have a live model, ages sixteen & up.
- Sanitized barbering tools
- Check in at the registration table at 12:00 p.m.
- Judges will inspect model’s hair during check-in. (the first 5 pts of the competition)
- Models must have at least 2-3 weeks or more of new growth without an edge up, to qualify.
- All models must be cut, trimmed, and shaped during the competition time, not before.
- Color and enhancements are not permitted unless specifically noted. This includes hair fibers, color pencils/chalk, color sprays, semi, or permanent color, etc.
- Barbers must show transformation of the model’s hair during presentation.
- All categories have a specific time limit to complete the cut/style. When your segment ends, STOP IMMEDIATELY
- Please do not allow your model to leave before the award presentation.
- Bring your own cape to represent your brand and a head lamp to ensure proper lighting.
- No fire or smoke.
- No braids or dreads unless otherwise specified. Full haircuts only.

Beauty Weekend is a family-owned business. It was founded in 2021 by Shanelle Salazar and Erroshell Campbell, a mother daughter team. The company provides high-quality hair, and the dynamic duo aims to inspire and educate beauty professionals.
