Short Bio

I was born December 26, 1986 in beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico. I came to the United States with my family in 1989. I was raised in Los Angeles, CA. I had a beautiful childhood surrounded by family and lots of culture. My best friend was my uncle Jesus who was a barber stylist and I spent a lot of time with him at his salon. Some of the most wonderful memories live in that salon. I attended Van Nuys High School where I also began my career in beauty. In 11th grade I began the cosmetology program, I was 16 years old and never looked back. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 23 years now. At age 25 I opened my 1st barbershop and age 33 my 2nd location, both in Santa Clarita, CA. I was a shop owner for 10 years and it was the greatest experience. I learned a lot of valuable lessons that help shape who I am now. During pandemic I was forced to shut down my businesses and that is when I discovered the art of hair unit installation. I took every class available and flew all over the country to learn this method. I have been a certified hair unit artist for 6 years now and it has been the best career curve I have made. I now educate, showcase and work for an amazing company. Pure O has given me the opportunity to fly around the country and share my love for hair units, barbering and hair styling.
